Bismarck Residential Internet Coverage

Bismarck homes are some of the most expensive in the state of North Dakota. It's the second largest city in the state and home to both blue- and white-collar workers who are well-educated and work in administrative support and sales roles. They tend to be wealthy as well. In addition, there's a large population of Native American residents. Bismarck residents rely on their internet services to connect with the community and learn about opportunities in the area. Compared with just 83% of North Dakota, 100% of Bismarck residents have access to high-speed internet.

Midcontinent Communications is the only cable internet provider in the area, reaching 100% of homes. While CenturyLink reaches 93% of homes with DSL, they're not the only provider of the service. 3% of residents east of the Missouri River can get DSL from OrbitCom, Inc. A final option for 1% of residents is fiber optics from CenturyLink.

Businesses in Bismarck have greater access to fiber optics. 73% of commercial users can get fiber optics from Dakota Carrier Networks. Another option from Dakota Carrier Networks for 1% of businesses is copper wire.

The ONLY thing I can say is that they have decent customer service. Otherwise, they will manipulate their pricing and squeeze every dollar they can out of you. I've had their internet for a year and I can say it has been ridiculously slow; the only way I could hit 200mb/s is when I had things plugged in with ethernet. Also, be aware they will eliminate the lower service options and require you to "upgrade" intermittently for a quick money grab.
