Pueblo Residential Internet Coverage

As one of the largest cities in Colorado, Pueblo has a variety of internet service providers that meet the needs of residents and businesses.

CenturyLink has a very large service area in Pueblo, covering the city in its entirety and covering many outlying suburbs and rural areas. Service reaches beyond Lake Pueblo in the west and is available past the eastern edge of the city, which is marked by the Pueblo Memorial Airport.

Customers can also choose AT&T as far north as Pueblo Springs and as far south as Vestas.

Those who prefer cable internet can benefit from the cable network of Xfinity, which is available in every part of Pueblo. Service stops just outside the city_s eastern limits.

Through Microtech-tel, residents and businesses in parts of central and northern Pueblo have access to copper wireline service. In central Pueblo, covered neighborhoods include Sunset, Downtown, and Northside. Northern neighborhoods in this service area include Belmont, Fountain Creek Corridor, and Ridge.

My grandma had a brain tumor removed and forgot her password to the wifi. 4 and a half hours later of dealing with tech support and being put on hold and hung up on by rude people I'm still no closer to resetting her password and getting access to her wifi. A disgusting disgrace of a company. Can't even reset a password for a sick old woman in 4 and a half hours of time completely wasted. I'm sick to my stomach at the ineptitude.

Internet bandwidth and speed is terrible. We are subscribed to the business unlimited- such a farce. We are less than 10 days into our new billing cycle and our speeds are so slow that to open up new files it will take 5 minutes or more. It usually takes multiple attempts. We have hade to close the office and send people to work from home on 4 occaisions over the last 3 months. We attempted to reset the sytem as recommended by ViaSat on a weekly basis and it does not help. We had problems with the system less than a year after installation and they charged us for their parts failing. The receiver on the dish failed causing the router in the building to fail. It is now so bad that we are working with local providers to run either fiber or wire to the office, burdening most of the cost. It is a 2.5 mile connection to the nearest point so you can imagine what that is going to cost us. Who knows how many sales we have lost as we were dropped in the middle of sales meetings. We use Microsoft Teams for our meetings. The speed is so slow that when we are not dropped off meetings, we have to have people repeat what was said as audio is very poor, forget video. We were either mislead or sales and the installer had no idea what they were talking about. It was asked if the system would support as many as 10 people being in meetings at a time. We were told it would not be a problem. We have found that no more than about 3 people can be on a meeting at any time. I am going to call the customer service rep after writing this (again). If someone has to come out to check the system it generally is at least 1 week before they can come out. I thought HughesNet for business was bad, this has been worse than that. I do not recommend this Internet provider to any business. I just checked our internet speeds- Download was 1.23MPS, Upload was 0.62. The test platform even said that it is very slow, ok for browsing but poor for video. Following is what they advertise on their site for Business Unlimited 35- "Download Speeds up to 35.0 Mbps Upload Speeds up to 4.0 Mbps Includes Unlimited data and Video Streaming at DVD Quality (Optimized for 480p)". This obviously is not going to happen when the speeds are as slow as the test showed.

We are new customers of SECOM since 11/15/22; we must say, their customer service[courteous, and honest with their opinions re: what Secom can/can not do, they are knowledgeable not only about SECOM but their competitors and they are affordable. Not what you expect from many smaller companies, because they are up against larger companies that basically monopolize the industry, but SECOM has found a nitch; they have awesome people working for/with them-telephone assistance, install technicians, the "help me right now" technicians and their customer service staff. We have NOT had any issues that were "caused by their lack of service, or faulty equipment-amazing because we live in "boonies" of Pueblo Colorado; coverage can be spotty. We use their services for zoom calls, and online college and (3) PC video gamers [ Overwatch and others, I can't recall], we have 6 tvs, 3 iPad pros, but so far, no serious issues; if all you have to do is call, or email regarding temporary outages- only happened 1x; they address the problem. We will be getting a "mesh" from SECOM to boost our wi-fi for our 1 gamer downstairs. The. house is quite. large and I guess a "steadier" connection is needed for a more competitive game quality? Whatever, the hell that means. Anyway, SECOM has done a great job for the more rural areas, that need an affordable internet experience.
