Xfinity Mobile plans

Most cellular carriers reduce the price of additional lines when you add more lines, making it more cost-effective to add family members (or even friends) to the same phone plan. Xfinity charges just $30 per line when you have four lines. But even with a single line, you’re paying significantly less for an unlimited phone plan through Xfinity compared to Verizon’s name-brand plans.

Xfinity Mobile also offers By the Gig phone plans measured by the amount of premium data you get per month. Be careful with these because you get charged $15 for every additional gigabyte of data you use after you exceed your cap.

The best deal from Xfinity Mobile is the chance to get an Unlimited Intro plan free for two years when you also sign up for an Xfinity internet plan with speeds of 400Mbps or faster.

When it comes to mobile options, internet providers like Xfinity operate as MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators), which means they basically slap their brand name onto the cellular infrastructure of a separate phone company. That’s not the case with Verizon, of course, which maintains its own wireless network. You can also get Verizon Fios fiber internet and Verizon’s new 4G LTE/5G internet. And when you combine internet and mobile, your customer loyalty is rewarded with various deals and discounts.

On top of generous data allowances and extra data for hotspots, Verizon also offers extra perks like Disney+ Premium or 100GB of mobile hotspot data for an additional $10 per month. Not everyone is going to want or need these bells and whistles, but they come in handy if you stream a lot or frequently use a hotspot.

Verizon is pushing its new 5G and 4G LTE internet services, and you can get a juicy discount on either if you have a qualifying phone plan. 5G Home Internet and 4G LTE Home Internet are both good deals already—and they cost $25 a month less than the normal price when you’re also signed up for a qualifying unlimited phone plan.

You can also get a discount on a Fios fiber internet plan, which is faster and arguably more reliable than Verizon’s budding 5G service. Customers who have a qualifying unlimited plan also get a $25 monthly discount when signing up for a qualifying Fios plan. Just make sure you have one of those phone plans before you sign up for the Fios internet plan, otherwise you don’t get the discount.

Like Verizon, AT&T is another cellular provider that doubles as an internet provider—along with phone plans, it also offers fiber internet plans with fast speeds and decent prices. AT&T doesn’t have any formal bundle deals, but you can get a price break through limited-time deals and discounts, which AT&T announces regularly.

AT&T unlimited mobile plans

AT&T’s flagship phone plans are slightly less expensive than Verizon’s. They don’t have all the perks, but they still pack a punch with lots of data, extra data for hotspotting, and excellent cellular coverage. T-Mobile is best known as the cellular “un-carrier,” of course, but its 5G Home Internet service means T-Mobile is now offering internet too. Go5G Plus is T-Mobile’s most formidable phone plan. It comes with an unlimited amount of premium data at 4G LTE and 5G speeds, with no caps and no slowdowns. T-Mobile’s other phone plans are solid too—and a lot more affordable.

T-Mobile mobile and internet deals

You get T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for $30 per month—rather than the usual $50 per month—when you sign up for it and also have a Go5G Plus or Magenta MAX plan.

Optimum is a fiber and cable internet provider, but it’s also started to offer mobile phone plans just like Xfinity, Spectrum, and other internet providers. Optimum Mobile requires an internet plan to sign up and works over T-Mobile’s network, giving you 5G access and unlimited data.

You get a $15 break on your monthly bill just by bundling your internet with Optimum Mobile. The starting price is higher than other bundled mobile plans on this page, so in the end you’re still paying pretty much the same. But you can also get price breaks if you add more lines, and you have lots of opportunities to mix and match with bonus data.

Optimum Mobile plans

We like the Unlimited plan because it comes with dedicated hotspot data—which you don’t always get from internet provider phone plans like these. You can also get a plan that comes with a single GB of data for just five bucks a month, which is super cheap.

Optimum Mobile gives you anywhere from $5 to $15 off your monthly cell phone bill when you pair your phone service with internet. And you get an additional $15 off per line when you add an additional one or two lines to your plan.

Spectrum Mobile plans are very similar to what you get from Xfinity Mobile; both carriers use Verizon’s network, provide 5G access, and have decent pricing for basic cellular plans. Spectrum doesn’t offer bundle deals, unfortunately, and the By the Gig plan might not be as cost-effective as it initially seems. But this is a nice option if you have Spectrum Internet, which is required to sign up.

Spectrum Mobile plans

Spectrum gives you the option to upgrade to an Unlimited Plus plan, which gives you more premium data each month. Also, you pay less per line when you add more lines to your plan. All in all this is a solid plan, similar in price and features to Xfinity Mobile and other MVNOs.

By the Gig plans look cheap, but if you exceed your single GB data cap, you pay an extra $14 for each additional GB of data you use. Also, you can’t use more than 5 GB in a month; after that, your speeds slow to a snail’s pace. So only get this plan if you mostly stick to Wi-Fi and use only a tiny amount of phone data in a month.

Spectrum mobile and internet deals

Like Spectrum and Xfinity, Cox uses Verizon’s network to get you cellular coverage, including 5G access. You can choose between the By the Gig plan (in which you pay a set fee each month for a gigabyte of phone data) or the monthly Gig Unlimited plan.
